Science and Maths
For children aged between 11 and 14 (inclusive) Wednesday from 10am until 1pm.
Spanning areas from ears and hearing, stomachs and digestion, to mobile phones and MP3s. All intertwined with maths where relevant.
Most of the topics covered and skills that are developed feed into GCSE maths and Science. There is a strong emphasis on experimentation; where possible all learning springs from a first hand experience of a particular phenomena. We test how the world behaves and then we see what conclusions can be drawn. This style of learning is designed to foster natural inquisitiveness, whilst giving the child the tools with which to become a life-long learner.
